The HHS Children and Youth Resilience Challenge – as part of the President’s Unity Agenda and Mental Health Strategy – is the first-ever federal prize challenge that funds community-led, culturally-responsive innovations that promote resilience and advance mental health and well-being among children and youth, from birth to age 24. Later this spring, Finalists may compete for the final prize. One grand prize winner will receive $300,000 and up to two runners-up will receive $175,000 each.

Our Innovation Showcase on May 2 presents a unique opportunity for federal and non-federal partners, community members, young people, and more to learn about the 14 finalist teams and their incredible innovations. Finalists will provide brief TED Talk style presentations about their unique approach and impact in promoting children and youth resilience. The showcase will also include special remarks from Deputy Secretary Andrea Palm, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Population Affairs Jessica Marcella, and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Administration for Children and Families Jeff Hild.
