This toolkit, “Nurturing Positive Childhoods: A Toolkit for NC Medical Professionals” was made possible by NC Department of Health and Human Services. It can help medical providers, local health departments, hospitals and community agencies prioritize, reframe, and align efforts to nurture positive childhoods in the and community to strengthen families, ultimately preventing child abuse and neglect from ever occurring. Receive an overview of the toolkit which includes a handout for families connecting them to local resources, sample public awareness materials, research-based messaging, and information about effective child maltreatment prevention strategies.
