Workbook – Summer Institute for Systems Change Session 3 (8/13/2024). This workbook accompanies the third session titled How can you map out system root causes and prioritize where to focus your efforts?  As partnerships and coalitions gather information about the ecosystem affecting their outcomes, the challenge often becomes how to turn this information into something that spurs action (versus something that sits on an electronic shelf). This session describes a process partnerships and coalitions can use to engage partners and families in theming information gathered about the ecosystem, mapping out how these themes interact with each other to affect your outcomes, and selecting powerful “leverage points” within the mapped out themes to strategically prioritize for action. This discussion will also include how coalitions and partnerships can use these shared priorities to expand engagement and better align cross-sector efforts within their region.
